We are pleased to share the official dates of next year’s Philadelphia Trans Health Conference, which will take place Thursday, September 7 through Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
We give a great deal of thought to the timing and planning of the conference each year – and sometimes our plans are impacted by logistics outside our control, such as the availability of the Pennsylvania Convention Center and of sufficient hotel rooms in the area to accommodate our out-of-town attendees.
However we do understand the change in season will impact some attendees, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
At this time, we don’t know whether this will be a one-time shift, or if the conference will continue to take place in the fall.
To find out the exact location of our meeting space or if you have questions, please contact us at [email protected] Central Come join us at the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building (3rd Street 'front' steps) for a candlelight event to memorialize those Transgender individuals who we have lost this past year due to suicide, anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
Transgender Day of Remembrance was initially held to honor Rita Hester, whose murder on November 28th, 1998 kicked off the “Remembering Our Dead” web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999.
Our meetings are held at PM (doors open approximately at pm) once a month at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Spirit located at 2973 Jefferson Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
